vCenter upgrade failed during RPM installation with error "A problem occurred during RPM installation"

Issue/Introduction

vCenter server upgrade wizard is stuck on stage 1 at 80%

Somtimes it might go to 81% and stuck for hours on deploying storage for the VM.

When we check the created VM, can see the storage available.

Environment

vCenter Server 7.0

vCenter Server 8.0 

Cause

VM was getting deployed on host however, DRS was moving the VM from one host to another as soon as it gets created and powered on.

Resolution

Cancel the upgrade if it is stuck and giving error.

Disable DRS on the cluster where vCenter VM is getting deployed.

Reinitiate the stage 1.
