vCloud Director Trusted Library shows False Positive Expired Cert

Issue/Introduction

After renewing ESXi host certfiicate in vcenter, VMware Cloud Director still shows the certificate as expired for the ESXi host.

Environment

VMware Cloud Director 10.x

Resolution

In order to clear the false positive certificate warning, perform the below steps:

NOTE: Make sure to take a snapshot of all the VMware Cloud Director Cells

• Export ESXi host certificate from the vSphere host client
• Save the certificate in locally to your desktop
• Re-import the ESXi certificate to VMware Cloud Director following the steps outlined Import Trusted Certificates 
• Once the certificate has been reimported, proceed with deletion of old certificate (showing expired under Trusted Certificates)
• Reconnect vCenter to VMware Cloud Director to reflect changes
