Question:

Does CA MICS calcualte Relative Nest Intensity (RNI)?

Environment:

CA MICS at release 12.9 or higher

Answer:

Metrics are reported in CA MICS in the CME, CMT and CML files in the RMF Component. The element names are fffvRNI where fff is CME, CMT, or CML. The v value is 1, 2, 3, or 4,  based on the following processor list.

       1 - IBM z10 Central Processor Complexes

       2 - IBM z114 or z196 Central Processor Complexes

       3 - IBM zBC12 or zEC12 Central Processor Complexes

       4 - IBM z13 Central Processor Complexes

RMF7051 is the most recent PTF that is required for proper calculation of the zBC12, zEC12 and z13 processors.

Additional Information:

Refer the the CA MICS Data Dictionary data element HISvRNI, where v is 1, 2, 3, or 4.
