Procedure to Update vCenter IP in VMware vCenter Cloud for AVI Load Balancer

Issue/Introduction

- When we tried to update the IP address and credentials of the VMware vCenter cloud from AVI UI, we got the error below: 

{'object_uuid': ['This field cannot be blank.']}

Note: The data center should be the same.

Environment

Cloud: VMware vCenter/vSphere ESX

Avi Load Balancer Version 22.1.4

Note: This workaround is not applicable for version 30.2.1 due to a known bug, which will be fixed in 31.1.1. It is only supported for version 22.1.x

Resolution

Please follow the below steps:

-Convert the cloud from VMware vCenter/vSphere ESX to No Orchestrator by clicking the Convert to No Orchestrator option on the right side.

 

- Select the YES CONTINUE option.

- Then, edit the cloud and set the type as VMware vCenter/vSphere ESX:

 

- Provide the vCenter/vSphere address and credentials:

- Provide the required details in the cloud config and save it.

- After this, the cloud will come up:
