Issue/Introduction

Question:

Is there a way to determine if NEWPWBLOCK format was used when the Security files were initialized?

Answer:

Security files initialized with TSSMAINT from the TSS R15 library are
defined with the NEWPWBLOCK format by default.
The default of NEWPWBLOCK will be taken even if the parm is not
specified for TSSXTEND.

You can issue a TSS MODIFY command to display your current Parmfile settings NEW_PASSWORD(Active )will display when a security file has been TSSXTEND copied with NEWPWBLOCK option when the security file is formatted.
