Issue/Introduction

Receiving a B37 abend, with the following messages appearing in the Vantage STC:

Resolution

The customer resolved this issue by using another 3rd party software tool to allow the override of the RMMEXDSN file to specifically span up to 59 volumes. 

Alternatively, this problem could have been avoided by modifying the allocation of the RMMEXDSN file as allocated by the Vantage **.CCTUSAMP(J05RMM) job, and updating the UNIT parameter in the REPTEXT DD, such as: 

//         UNIT=(3390,59),VOL=SER=.... 

As for the checkpoint files, if DFSMS is used for these types of files, then the Vantage parameters CAPSC, CAPMC, and CAPDC can be used to control these allocations (such as to allow multi-volume allocations).
