• When viewing Dell server's iDRAC system logs, there are reports of:
  
  A fatal error was detected on a component at bus ##
  
  
• Reviewing ESXi host logs either directly or offline, the logs indicate no hardware errors.

Environment

Dell PowerEdge server

Cause

This is a hardware error on the Dell PowerEdge server.

Resolution

To resolve this issue:

• Run hardware diagnostics on the PowerEdge server.
• Collect logs from the Life Cycle Controller on the Dell Server.
• Contact Dell Support.
