Issue/Introduction

Can the way that APM calculates the available storage space on Unix servers be changed to take into account the 5% reserved for root?

Currently 5% of the drive space is reserved for the root account, so when the drive reads as 100% on the server APM is reporting it as 95%. Under normal circumstances the drive will never reach 100% utilization even though the drive is essentially full.

This is causing some confusion with teams setting their thresholds to alert at 95% and then finding out the drives are actually full.

Resolution

Fixed in 24.9.1.
