net_connect probe will not start on robot

Issue/Introduction

After deploying the net_connect probe, the probe fails to start.  In the probe logs, the following is observed:

Aug 23 01:55:33:880 [13656] Controller: Probe 'net_connect' FAILED to start (command = net_connect.exe) error = (5) Access is denied.

The controller.log files also show similar messages referencing "Access is denied".

Running the net_connect.exe executable from the command line also yields, "Access is denied".  Also, a pop-up on the robot server comes up indicating that the application was blocked from running.

Cause

The pop-up indicated that an Anti-Virus application is blocking the execution of the net_connect.exe executable.

Resolution

Set a white list for the UIM directory to be allowed by the Anti-Virus so that these files will be allowed to execute.

The Windows Event Viewer application log may also provide more details regarding the block.
