How to Import and Export Discovery Configurations in DX NetOps Spectrum?

Resolution

Export Discovery Configurations

1. Log into the OneClick Console 
2. Select Tools -> Utilities -> Discovery Console from the menu
3. In the Navigation panel, find and select the Discovery Configuration you wish to export 
4. In the OneClick console click Tools, Utilities, Discovery Console.
5. Click on the Export icon
6. Select where you want to save the file and enter a file name to save the exported Discovery Configuraiton 

The saved file will be an XML file that can then be copied to another Spectrum system and imported.

If there is an issue with the original Discovery Configuration in the Spectrum database, you can import the exported Discovery Configuration.

If you have to reload a database save that does not have the original Discovery Configuration in it, you can import the exported Discovery file.


Importing Discovery Configurations

1. Log into the OneClick Console 
2. Select Tools -> Utilities -> Discovery Console from the menu
3. Click on the Import icon
4. Find and select the Discovery Console export file

NOTE: The imported Discovery Configuration will appear under the Global Configurations folder in the Navigation panel
