Issue/Introduction

Is there a way in SYSVIEW to discover if an IMS database is in need of an image copy.

Resolution

To know if a specific database requires an image copy, there are line commands available from the IMSDBASE display that will query DBRC to provide that information. For example, if it is a DL/I VSAM database, the QDLI line command will return something similar to:

 

The ICM column is 'Image Copy Needed' and the ICR column is 'Image Copy Recommended'.
