Issue/Introduction

  • After upgrade of Aria Automation and Aria Automation Orchestrator to version 8.18.0, Orchestrator instances connected to Automation as authentication provider have their Git Integration and Polyglot Scripting unavailable. The problem shows up only in Aria Automation deployments entitled with Advanced license.
  • You may also see messages such as:

"Failed to run action. Requested operation is not permitted due to no valid license entitlement."

    Or

"Your subscription has expired. The core product operations are unavailable. Please contact your Account Manager or Customer Success Manager to renew your license."

Environment

  • Aria Automation 8.18.0
  • Aria Automation Orchestrator 8.18.0

Cause

Aria Automation's Orchestration capabilities for Advanced license are mis-configured in 8.18.0.

Resolution

  • The issue is resolved in 8.18.1

Workaround

Install the following hotfix on the Aria Automation 8.18.0 instance to which the Aria Orchestrator instances are connected.

  1. Take simultaneous VM snapshots without memory and with quiesce option on of all Aria Automation nodes.

  2. On one of the Aria Automation nodes, execute the following steps:
  3. Upload sr66285.tar.gz in /root
  4. Open a SSH session and run:

(tar -xvf sr66285.tar.gz -C /tmp && chmod a+x /tmp/66285-patch.sh && /tmp/66285-patch.sh); rm -f /tmp/66285-patch.sh

     5. Wait for 15 minutes, login again in Aria Automation Orchestrator using a new browser session, and verify that Git Integration and Polyglot Scripting are available.
