Issue/Introduction

Recently starting using EAV volumes to leverage UCB usage by allowing larger volums to be used instead of 3390-54 volumes.  In Endevor to test some options in a processor added EATTR=OPT  as follows:

//XMILAUD DD DISP=(NEW,PASS)DSN=&&XMLNEW,EATTR=OPT,
//                       DCB=(RECFM=VB,LRECL=1004),SPACE=(CYL(5,10))

This caused the error below to occur -

C1X0210E STMT 264 INVALID-CONTAINS INVALID KEYWORD EATTR

Adding the EATTR in JCL outside of endevor is allowed - why does Endevor mark it as an error?

Resolution

Currently the EATTR parameter is not supported by Endevor - it has been reported as a defect and will be resolved via PTF in the near future.
