Issue/Introduction

This article provides steps to collect diagnostic information for Diagnostics for VMware Cloud Foundation. 

To accelerate a case with Broadcom Support, ensure the diagnostic log-based findings cover the period in which the problem was observed. Log Assist will include the diagnostic findings when uploading support bundles. Broadcom Support uses the diagnostic findings to identify known issues that may contribute to the problem in the case. 

It is recommended to refresh your diagnostics findings before performing a Diagnostic Log Assist to guarantee that you get the latest log and property based findings. The Diagnostic Bundle in Diagnostics Log Assist will only be for the objects you requested log for.

Environment

Operations for VMware Cloud Foundation 9.0

Resolution

To refresh your findings browse to Infrastructure Operations → Diagnostics Findings and choose Fresh Findings. A dialog box will appear and from there please select the VCF Instances you would like to refresh. 

To collect a Diagnostics Bundle browse to Infrastructure Operations → Diagnostics Findings and choose Export. It is recommended to refresh your diagnostics findings before perform an export. This will download two csv files for summary and affected objects.
