Why does program BMCSIU now have to be APF authorized?

 

Answer: 

 

With regards to message ITKH000E, changes on r15 have meant that the CA Database Management Solutions for IMS must now be executed from a STEPLIB concatenation with APF authorization. This change was introduced with r15 PTF RO51027 which included the following Hold data:

++HOLD (RO51027) SYSTEM FMID(CIDOF00)
REASON (EC ) DATE (12282)
COMMENT (
This PTF requires the following products to be APF
Authorized for correct execution. If the steplib is not
APF authorized, the results are unpredictable.
CA Database Analyzer for IMS for z/OS
CA Database Copier for IMS for z/OS
CA Database Organizer for IMS for z/OS
CA High Performance Recovery for IMS for z/OS
CA Secondary Index Builder for IMS for z/OS

Therefore for release r15 and above, APF authorization is now required.
