NCM Capture fails with error message "SSH_MSG_DISCONNECT: 2 Non-assigned port!" with NCM debug enabled.

Issue/Introduction

We are having problems after upgrading firmware on our Cisco devices.  Upgrading Spectrum to the current release did not resolve our issue.

When we are trying an NCM Capture we are seeing the following error  "SPC-OCC-104747: Error capturing configuration for host "

When we enable the NCM debug by seeing debug parameter in $SPECROOT/NCM/config.xml we can see the following error:

 

SSH_MSG_DISCONNECT: 2 Non-assigned port!

Resolution

The Enable Password needs to be cleared at the Device Family Level and then the capture should succeed.

Additional Information

This is scheduled to be fixed out of the box in 24.3.2 and can be tracked under DE154012 in resolved issues.
