RSP "CPU Average Total Usage" or "Individual CPU Total Usage" caused additional metrics to be collected

Issue/Introduction

Enabling only "CPU Average Total Usage" or "Individual CPU Total Usage" metrics in the RSP CPU (Enhanced) template profile caused additional metrics (Idle, Wait, System, User) to be collected. 

 

Cause

Known issue with rsp_mcs_template 5.52 and previous versions

Resolution

Deploy and activate rsp_mcs_template 5.58 with steps below:

1. Download rsp_mcs_template 5.58 from above link and import it to the UIM Archive

2. Deploy the rsp_mcs_template 5.58 to the UIM Server/Primary hub and wait a few minutes

3. Execute the mon_config_service get_probe_templates_package_status Command in Probe utility against the rsp package to confirm that final message shows 'Template loaded successfully'

a. Launch AC - select the Primary hub -> select Probes - select mon_config_service -> click on the Probe Menu option - select View Probe Utility in New Window

b. Select and execute the 'get_probe_templates_package_status' Command against rsp probe 5.58 to confirm that templates loaded successfully 

4. Execute the activate_probe_templates_package Command to migrate templates to 5.58

5. Wait several minutes and execute the 'get_probe_templates_package_status' Command again to confirm that Probe template and all profiles migrated successfully

6. Launch OC to check the RSP profiles status to confirm that version is 5.58.1

Note: Profiles will be in Pending status until all templates settings are synced to devices
