Issue/Introduction

Error when importing private key file (.p8) into Layer7 API Gateway policy manager

Dialog error "Import failed: stream does not represent a PKCS12 key store"

Environment

Gateway 11.0

Mobile Gateway (MAS)

Cause

Private key import using policy manager must be PKCCS#12 .p12 / .pfx format

 

Resolution

The latest release GW 11.1.1 includes graphman, this can be used to import PEM key (private) into the trusted key store.

OR

Possibility 

Using the GW 11.0 with the two assertions 

Encode JWT

Decode JWT

Set a context variable with TEXT value of the private, then encode/decode using the context variable 

Set Context Variable "key"

The two assertions "Encode JWT" & "Decode Encode JWT" require a valid MAS license install
