Environment

VMware vSphere ESXi 8.0U2

Cause

According to the memory dump log, a storm from ahci driver caused the thread hung and which resulted in the PSOD. CDROM device is connected under ahci controller.

Resolution

Contact host hardware vendor to check the health of  media and drivers.
