Salt states fail to after deploying minion from vRA or Aria Automation

Issue/Introduction

The VM deployment progresses normally and successfully installs the Salt minion on the VM, but the states supplied in the Aria Automation blueprint fail to run

Environment

Aria Config 8.16+

Salt 3006+

Tanzu Salt 8.16+

Cause

A new configuration for the master plugin may not have been generated using the builtin command post upgrade. This causes the master plugin to experience some strange behaviors when attempting to communicate with Aria Config.

Resolution

Follow the instructions provided in the documentation to generate a new configuration and update the Salt master plugin configuration.
