Issue/Introduction

Autodeploy hosts fails to boot in UEFI mode using file snponly64.efi.vmw-hardwired present in TFTP Zip file downloaded from vCenter Server 8.0U3.

Boot operations fails with the below errors:

  • Failed to load crypto64.efi: Not Found
    Falling back to internal crypto suite
    Fatal error: 15 (Not found)

Environment

vCenter Server 8.0 Update 3

Resolution

This issue is resolved in vCenter Server 8.0 Update 3e

Workaround:

  • Download the TFTP Zip file from vCenter Server version 8.0u2 and use the snponly64.efi.vmw-hardwired file.
