DX ASM : APMIA ASM Agent v 24.6.2 stopped reporting metrics

Issue/Introduction

ASM related metrics are no longer reporting by APMIA  Agent ASM Extension.

Error messages found on the Agent log:

 [ERROR] [IntroscopeAgent.Asm.AsmEventConsumer] Error in reading event for ------------: Cannot invoke "String.split(String)" because "initialValue" is null

Environment

DX APMIA / ASM Extension: Version 24.6.2

Cause

Product Defect 

Resolution

Fix would be available with version 24.9 (ETA Mid September or early October, 2024) 

 

Workaround:

Disable ASM Tracing from the Agent by setting the below property

com.wily.instroscope.agent.asm.trace=false

IF  APMIA Docker Image with ASM Extension, The environment variables are used 

env. com.wily.instroscope.agent.asm.trace=false
