Issue/Introduction

When adding new hosts to a cluster, you are unable to vMotion WCP virtual machines to hosts with different CPU features.

Environment

ESXi

Cause

In the event that new hosts with different CPU features need to be added to a supervisor cluster. Due to CPU differences we are unable to turn on EVC, without powering down all VMs in the cluster.

Resolution

The steps to get around this.

1. Place all the old hosts into maintenance mode where it progress when to vMotion the WCP VM's off of the host.

2. Log into the host client directly as root(https://<Esxi-host-name>) or SSH into each node and shut them down.

3. They should then restart on another host.

3. Remove the old hosts from the cluster.
