Issue/Introduction

Some hardware fails to boot PXE because it expects DHCP Option 67 (Boot file name) to be null-terminated.

Trying to boot a client machine into UEFi PXE and it fails, on client screen it tried to load file Bstrap\X64\BStrap.efi]\u{2}

When reviewing PXE packets with Wireshark the boot offer has correct file-length of 21 characters.

This only seems to be affecting some client machines.

Environment

GSS 3.3 R12

Cause

Client machine where UEFI contains Intel Boot agent 'EFI Intel PRO1000 UNDI v5.0.12'

Resolution

This issue has been addressed with our GSS 3.3.13 Release.

Workaround:

Force client machine to utilize Legacy PXE boot rather then UEFI
