Linux agent error: kernel is not connected due to a recent kernel upgrade

Issue/Introduction

Linux agents show an error similar to the below after a kernel update:

Agent is not protecting the computer because kernel is not connected due to a recent kernel upgrade (8.10 4.18.0-553.5.1.el8_10.x86_64 x64).

Environment

• App Control Agent: All Supported Versions
• Linux: All Supported Versions

Cause

Kernel was updated to a version that is not compatible with the agent

Resolution

Upgrade the agent to a version compatible with the kernel. This information can be found in the Linux Agent OER.
