We are still experiencing a password wipe issue with the sqlserver probe. This is where the password field becomes blank or empty in the connection.
This occurs on:
5.60-HF1
5.61-T2
This has been looked at previously and 5.61-T2 was thought to have solved it, but it still remains.
The problem in this case was that there were old probe UI executables remaining in users temp folder that were causing the issue.
In a scenario where there would be multiple users connecting to a given system that has IM installed on it, it may be necessary to clear out the folder of each user.
When logged in open a run prompt and type in %temp% and enter to open the users <user>\AppData\Local\Temp\2 folder. Under this folder you will see a directory called 'util'. Inside this directory UI executables for UIM probes are executed when doing probe configurations.
With the IM client shutdown, remove the contents of this folder. This will ensure that the next time sqlserver configuration is modified the latest version of the probe UI will be executed.
