Network Label on the vmkernel adapter is not visible

Issue/Introduction

• In the vSphere Client, navigate to the ESXi host.
• On the Configure tab, expand Networking and select VMkernel adapters.
• The Network Label on the vmkernel adapter will show up as blank ( Highlighted in green below )

Environment

VMware vSphere ESXi 8.0.3 (build 24022510)

Cause

This issue might occur when the vmkernel adapter is added via PowerShell commands.

Resolution

1. Remove the vmkernel adapter from the ESXi Host from the GUI.
2. Recreate the vmkernel adapter using GUI.
