Issue/Introduction

• You are unable to proceed with configuring a new Migration
• Validation fails with the following error: "Selected Service Mesh is not associated with given placement details and services."

Cause

One or more VMs in the migration set are located on resources which are not mapped in the HCX Compute Profile.

Resolution

Edit the Compute Profile on Source and Target HCX environments to ensure resources are mapped correctly for the VMs you wish to migrate.
Examples: Datacenter / Cluster / Datastore / Folder
