Error when migrating a Business Group from vRA7 to vRA8 after the vRA7 certificate was updated

Issue/Introduction

After updating the certificates in vRA7 Migration tasks in the vRA8 (Aria Automation 8) Migration Assistant fail with

"Error while communicating with source 'vRA_7_Appliance.example.com' as it could not be associated with certificate having thumbprint 'XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX'. Please re-validate the source."

Environment

Aria Automation 8.x 

Cause

Migration assessment was started before the Source Endpoint certificate expired. After it is replaced, it is no longer trusted int the Migration Assistant

Resolution

The Source endpoint in the Migration assistant needs to be revalidated to re-establish trust.

1. Open the Migration Assistant and go to Source Instances and open the vRealize Automation 7 Source.
2. Re-enter the Administrator credentials and Click "Validate and Save"
3. Click "NEXT: ASSESSMENT" and retry the failed migration.
