Incorrect Day Displayed for WF Child Task ST and ET Timestamps in AWI

Issue/Introduction

In the Automic Automation Workflow Monitor, child task start and end time (ST and ET) timestamps may display the incorrect weekday, usually showing a 24-hour difference.

 

Symptoms

• The Workflow Monitor displays a weekday (e.g., Monday) that does not match the date in the task details.
• Timezone Specifics: This is most commonly seen when tasks run between 00:00 and 02:00 CET. In Western timezones (e.g., CDT/EDT), the issue typically occurs in the evening hours when local time is behind UTC.
• The behavior is consistent across AWI running on both Jetty and Tomcat servers.

 

Example: The highlighted square’s in RED in the workflow monitor show the incorrect “Day” between 00:00 -> 02:00 AM CET and when the start time is post 02:00 CET the correct "Day" is displayed.

Cause

A rendering bug in the Workflow Monitor causes weekday labels to be calculated based on UTC time instead of the user's local session timezone (Defect AE-37380).

Resolution

Update to a fix version listed below or a newer version if available.

Please note that as this is fix is with the AWI, all core components (AutomationEngine, Utilities, initialdata, and AWI) must be on at least the same service pack
