Shadow VM related rights no longer working in vCD 10.6

Issue/Introduction

• After upgrading to Cloud Director 10.6 release the following error appears when editing a global role:

The current set of rights includes rights from a previous VMware Cloud Director installation or deployment that you cannot publish. Clicking Save will remove the following rights: "View Catalog vApp Shadow VMs", "View vApp Shadow VMs"

• you require that the Shadow VMs rights are available to Tenants

Environment

VMware Cloud Director 10.6

Cause

The rights "vApp: Shadow VM View" and "Catalog: Shadow VM View" are currently classified as "PROVIDER" in Cloud Director 10.6 release., and the new "Rights_Classification" feature disallows the Provider from publishing the same rights to tenant.

Resolution

This issue will be resolved in a future release of Cloud Director to allow Tenants to have the "View Catalog vApp Shadow VMs", "View vApp Shadow VMs" available to Tenants.
