Gateway Firewall rule statistics not visible due to an error

Issue/Introduction

In the NSX Manager UI, if you browse to Security -> Gateway Firewall -> All Shared rules and try to view statistics for any of the rules, you will see the following error:

"Error: General error has occurred (Error code: 100)"

 

When a gateway rule is applied to more than one Logical Router, then while trying to fetch the statistics of that rule an error is thrown.

Environment

VMware NSX versions 3.2.3.x and prior

VMware NSX versions 4.1.0.x and prior

Cause

The issue occurs due to a bug where an invalid section/rule combination is queried while fetching the statistics.

Resolution

This issue is fixed in NSX versions 3.2.4 and 4.1.1.
