Issue/Introduction

In the ++HOLD section of LU10073 there is a comment explaining that this PTF will modify the AESCACHE default from OFF to ON.

This document explains what will happen for systems running with AESCACHE(OFF) in the Top secret parmlib once LU10073 is applied and whether there will be any changes in functionality.

Resolution

LU10073 will modify the AESCACHE default from OFF to ON.

The AESCACHE default is used when the option is not in the Top Secret parmlib.

If AESCACHE(OFF) is coded in the Top Secret Parmfile the application of LU10073 will have no effect on the AESCACHE.
