Issue/Introduction
When attempting to unregister a VM from Aria Automation, the 'Unregister' option for the deployment element is greyed out, preventing the execution of the Day 2 action.
This article also aims to provide the steps to manually delete deployment instance from Aria Automation leaving it unmodified it on the endpoint.
Unable to execute Day 2 actions on a VM with a status of "Missing" in Aria Automation, and the VM instance would need to be removed from Aria Automation to be re-onboarded for clean management.
Environment
Aria Automation 8.x.
Cause
This is widely seen on machines that is in the "Missing" for more than 30 days.
The Delete deployment from Aria Automation day 2 operation is failing either because the element has a "Missing" status or due to stale entries left by the custom resources' destroy task.
Attempting a force delete with the ignoreDeleteFailure flag set. still fails to delete elements or Fails to delete using API method.
Fetching the deployments using API returns null instanced objects.
