vSAN File Services Enable/Edit/Disable/Update buttons not available

• vCenter doesn't have Internet Access
• The Enable/Edit/Disable/Update buttons not available via vSAN Cluster > Configure > Services > File Services

Environment

VMware vSAN

Cause

The API calls to check the vSAN File Service Config can take up to 5mins before timing out before displaying the Enable/Edit/Disable/Update buttons when vCenter doesn't have internet access

Resolution

Upgrade vCenter and ESXi to version 8.0U2 or higher

If upgrade is not possible be patient the buttons will become available in 2-4mins
