AppNeta Alarms Do Not Clear in Spectrum

Issue/Introduction

When AppNeta Network Path alarms clear the alarms still remain in Spectrum even though a clear event can be seen on the NetworkPath model.

Cause

The EventCondition Rule on event 0x6732100 was evaluating variable 218 (sqPathServiceQuality) which appears to be the overall Path State.

Resolution

Workaround: 

Modify event 0x6732100 to evaluate variable 217 (sqParameterState) in place of variable 218.

• Launch the 'Event Configuration' GUI and filter on event 0x6732100
  
  
• There will be 2 entries for 0x6732100, however, only 1 will have an Event Rule. Select the
      one with the Event Rule
  
  
  
  
  
  
• Edit the Event Condition Rule
  
  
  
  
  
  
• Edit both Conditions and change Variable 218 to 217
  
  
  
  
  
  
  
  
  
  
  
• Save the changes which will also trigger the SpectroSERVER to reload the events
  
  
  

 

Spectrum should now use sqParameterState and now clear the alarm after it clears in AppNeta
