Migrating VMs to another network hangs on "Loading..." at the step "Select VMs to Migrate"

Issue/Introduction

During the migration wizard in vCenter when migrating VMs to another network, the process hangs on "Select VMs to migrate".

Environment

vCenter 7.x

vCenter 8.x

Cause

This is a known issue which is caused by VMs connected to a DVS which have an empty port group value.

Resolution

This issue is resolved in 7.0 U3v and 8.0 U3.

Additional Information

To work around this issue, check the DVS port list:

1. Select the DVS -> Ports
2. Look for ports with a VM listed under the "Connectee" column which have no value in the "Port Group" column.
3. Reassign the VM to a different port group (Right click on the VM -> Edit Settings)
