A bug exists in Tanzu Application Services (TAS) starting with version 4.0 and also present in versions 5.0 and 6.0 that can cause the above message to be displayed when logging into Apps Manager. This is due to inconsistent reporting in the app usage service database regarding certain application and task events. While this error message became visible starting in TAS 4.0, the bug was present for some time prior. Because of this, the historical usage data related to this error is not entirely consistent.
The underlying cause was resolved starting in CAPI release 1.179.0 https://github.com/cloudfoundry/capi-release/releases/tag/1.179.0 . This release or newer was included starting in the following versions of TAS:

5.0.12
6.0.2
Customers experiencing this issue will need to perform the following steps:Update TAS to the fixed version most appropriate for your present platform.
Perform a purge and reseed on the App Usage database by following the instructions outline in this knowledge base article https://knowledge.broadcom.com/external/article?articleNumber=297490.
IMPORTANT: This resolution requires taking action that will destroy all existing app usage data. This is required because the issue is caused by inconsistencies in historical data. All customers that use this data for billing purposes are advised to wait until the end of a billing cycle to gather the necessary billing data to perform the above mention purge and reseed action. Upgrading to the fixed TAS version can occur during any normal upgrade window, but the historical data will remain until purged.
