Sensors older than 3.6.0.2076 fail to updated via console request

Issue/Introduction

Sensor version that have a build lower than 3.6.0.2076 fail to update when request is made from the console.

Environment

• Carbon Black Cloud Console: All Versions
• Carbon Black Cloud Sensor: All sensors prior to 3.6.0.2076 
• Microsoft Windows: All Supported Versions

Cause

• Error in confer.log:
  RepUtilValidateUpgradeKit: kit C:\Program Files\Confer\confer-upgrade-setup.msi.tmp is not confer signed
• Older sensors fail to update to recent releases because they do not trust the installer binary: DSEN-12552/CRE-18869

Resolution

1. 3.5.X and earlier sensors:  Sensor cannot be upgraded via console due to technical limitations of the sensor. Sensors should be updated manually or via some other method like SCCM where possible.  
2. 3.6 sensor prior to version 3.6.0.2076:  Log a support request and reference DSEN-12552/CRE-18869 and indicate the impacted Org/endpoints and a backend adjustment will be made to allow upgrade.
