AlarmNotifier Not Forwarding Events after Upgrade and Migration to 23.3.12

Issue/Introduction

We migrated spectrum to new hosts, then we did an upgrade.

We copied the custom scripts (SetScript, UpdateScript, ClearScript) to the Notifier directory.

The default instance of alarm notifier is not forwarding alarms.

No log is being generated. (NOTIFIER.OUT)

 

Environment

Spectrum :: All Supported Versions 

Cause

The SetScript is calling the third party application attention (attn)

This software is not installed on the new hosts.

Resolution

Add the attn software to the new spectrum hosts.

Additional Information

Never start the alarmnotifier with ./AlarmNotifier, instead have processed handle it:

./$SPECROOT/bin/launchinstdbapp localhost ALARMNOTIFIER y NOTIFIER.OUT
