Issue/Introduction

Time synchronisation is broken after Inplace Gateway upgrade from 11.0 to 11.1 .

Environment

API Gateway v11.1

Cause

This is because packages ntp and ntpdate have been substituted with the timesyncd package. (Release Notes GW 11.1)

Resolution

Failover or backup timesync sever which was configured part of Gateway 11.0 has to be reconfigured from timesyncd configuration file.

/etc/systemd/timesyncd.conf

Eg: # cat /etc/systemd/timesyncd.conf

#  This file is part of systemd.

#  any later version.
#
# Entries in this file show the compile time defaults. Local configuration
# should be created by either modifying this file, or by creating "drop-ins" in
# the timesyncd.conf.d/ subdirectory. The latter is generally recommended.
# Defaults can be restored by simply deleting this file and all drop-ins.
#
# See timesyncd.conf(5) for details.
