Spectrum Install failure noting We were unable to resolve host

Issue/Introduction

When running the Spectrum sdiclinux installer, it failed when trying to resolve the hostnames:

Error: We were unable to resolve host xxxx from host yyyy

Cause

The machine is configured and has enabled both IPv4 and IPv6 yet only IPv6 was resolving in DNS.

Resolution

We needed to add the IPv4 address to the local machines etc/hosts as:

IP shortname FQDN

For example:

192.168.1.1 spectrum [email protected]
