Issue/Introduction

While deploying to a large group of machine under a specific OU (Active Directory or similar), the job takes long time to be created:

The GUI may go to "Not Responding" during the process:

The job is created successfully:

But it then disappears:

And sometimes the following error appears:

"It was not possible to retrieve the deployment jobs from deployment manager. Check that the dmdeploy manager is running on the manager machine, and then try again"

Environment

Client Automation 14.5 and above

Resolution

This issue is caused because some (or all) of machines selected as target have IPv6 and, in this scenario, the policy "Use Host Names" have to be enabled, as explained in the documentation:
