We're looking to update a lot of Discovery profiles and were trying to figure out a way to update the filter for several profiles at once or at least a way to copy the filter parameters from one profile and import to another.
Specifically, I am referring to the options on the configuration tab, with "Discover and automatically model to SPECTRUM" selected, click Modeling Options, click filter options which brings up the advanced filter.
For a given Discovery profile we may need to filter out "Discovered DNS Name Does Not Start with"abc".
We may have 40-50 profiles that also need that same filter criteria.
The discovery profiles within the GlobalConfig model are a packed octet so we won't be able to do anything there.
If you selected multiple discoveries within the Spectrum Discovery Console when you export it will create one master XML file where you can make the changes to search criteria (or other items) in bulk and then re-import. Once the master XML file is re-imports it its broken out into individual profiles once again.
1. Export profiles that need to be edited
2. Delete the profiles from Discover console and hit file > save.
3. Make edits to the XML file as needed
4. Re-import the master XML file.
