Issue/Introduction

After configuring the Host Name and IP Address Mapping configuration in the Messaging Gateway Administration > Configuration > hostname > DNS / Time settings with a hostname to IP address entry then entry cannnot be removed. Deleting entries from the list returns no error but after checking the Host Name and IP Address Mapping list following the change, the original entries remain in the list. 

Resolution

This issue will be addressed in the 10.9.1 release of Messaging Gateway.

Workaround

While entries in the list cannot be deleted, they can be changed.

  1. Go to Administration > Configuration > hostname > DNS / Time
  2. Select the entry in Host Name and IP Address Mapping and click Edit
  3. Change the Name and IP address values to temporary values which will not affect name resolution. Hostnames on the .test domain and an IP on the 127.0.0.0/8 network.
  4. Click Save
