DX NetOps CA Spectrum

Issue/Introduction

When logging into the DX NetOps Spectrum OneClick administration web UI it shows a "Not secure" red icon in the browser address bar.

Selection that to view the Certificate shows a message that reports "Your connection to this site is not secure".

We see the expected Root, Intermediate and CA Signed certificates listed.

We are using the FQHN for the OneClick web server.

In the main browser page body it shows an error:

NET::ERR_CERT_COMMON_NAME_INVALID

Environment

All supported DX NetOps Spectrum releases

Cause

The CA Signed Certificate was issued with no Subject name specified. It was also issued with no Subject Alternative Name (SAN) values specified.

Resolution

Have a new CA Signed Certificate issued with a Subject name specified. If SAN names are needed ensure they're requested at the same time.

Import the new certificate to replace the old one and restart the tomcat web server services.
