Issue/Introduction
The HP FlexFabric 10Gb 2-port 536FLB Adapter NICs are showing a link status of "down" in ESXi, even though the admin status is "up." The vobd logs indicate that the driver is entering a panic state.
Environment
VMware vSphere ESXi 7.0
Cause
The Qfle3 driver is entering a panic state due to unhealthy firmware.
This issue has been reported on HPE Synergy 480 Gen10 and HPE Synergy 480 Gen9 systems, with the firmware identified as HPE CAN Firmware Bundle version 7.18.82 (1.4.14.0 Storm: 7.13.18.1 MFW: 7.16.3).
Resolution
**WORKAROUND:**
HPE are aware of the issue and will address it in an upcoming SPP.. HPE recommends reverting to firmware version 7.18.77.
If that doesn't resolve the issue, HPE should conduct further investigation.
Additional Information
It Fixed when customer replaced the FlexibleLOM adapter on the server.
