Error: "Replication with id 'C4-####-####-####'" was not found when viewing recovery settings for Outgoing Replications on the On-Premises VMware Cloud Director Availability (VCDA) appliance

Issue/Introduction

When attempting to view the recovery settings in the Outgoing Replications in the On-Premises VMware Cloud Director Availability (VCDA) appliance while logged in as root or logged in through the vCenter Plugin you see the following error message:

"Replication with id 'C4-####-####-####' was not found."

 

Environment

VMware Cloud Director Availability 4.x

Cause

This is expected behaviour as the On-Premises VMware Cloud Director Availability (VCDA) appliance site needs to be authenticated with the cloud site to view the recovery settings. 

Resolution

To resolve this issue please follow the steps below:

1. Select the affected replication
2. Select All Actions
3. Select Recovery Settings
4. When prompted provide the credentials to manage replications.
5. Once you have authenticated with the cloud site you will be able to view the recover settings.

 

Note: Once you log out of the VMware Cloud Director Availability (VCDA) On Premise appliance you will need to re-authenticate with the cloud site once you log back in.
