VMware Cloud Director root partition full due to cell.log

Issue/Introduction

cell.log has grown to fill the root partition.

Environment

VMware Cloud Director.

Cause

cell.log has no limit imposed on it.

Resolution

Connect to VMware Cloud Director cell over ssh

1. Stop vCloud Director Services if not already in a failed state from root being full.

service vmware-vcd stop

2. Empty the content of cell.log by running the command below. 

> /opt/vmware/vcloud-director/logs/cell.log

3. Reboot VMware Cloud Director cell. Before proceeding confirm that the cell is not the primary db and switch if needed. Switch the Roles of Your Primary and a Standby
