We have ENF Archiving enabled and ENF keeps creating new versions of ENF.ARCHIVE.** datasets, but never deletes any. We have the retention period set to 5 days. Is it ok to delete these datasets without ENF Complaining and also shouldn't ENF be cleaning up these datasets ?

Common Services r 15.0 ENF component recording events.
Cause
The ENF Archive datasets are not physically deleted or scratched.
The DSNAME specification is limited to 16 characters
If not named, ENF will assign a default name of ENF.ARCHIVE
ENF will also append the Julian date and time of the archive to the DSNAME .
ENF.ARCHIVE.Dyyddd.Thhmm
The RETDPD specifies the length of time the DSNAME will be retained in the ENF MUF
It will be deleted from the ENF database
It will be retained on the system
Must be physically scratched or deleted
Resolution
Use standard IBM utilities to scratch or delete the physical datasets
